Best Thing For Your Skin
To Prevent or To Cure? The best things in life are often simple pleasures like good food, small thoughtful gestures and spending time with your loves ones. Likewise, the best things when it comes to caring for your skin should stay equally fuss-free and simple.
The Sun: Friend or Foe
Life is impossible without the sun. But we all know that overexposure to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays disrupts our skin's function and its renewal rate, which accelerates skin ageing. No one knows exactly how the sun's rays affect the way our skin regenerates.
Sun Rays
When the sun's UV rays penetrate into our skin, they tend to disrupt and damage skin cell functions, so it cannot heal itself, leading to loss of moisture and rough skin that is dry and dull-looking. In severe cases, over exposure to UV rays can also cause skin cancer.
Healthy Skin is Most Vital
Healthy skin is only possible when our skin's protective barrier is healthy, resilient and where the cellular turnover rate is optimal. While you may not have serious skincare problems, you could have a weakened skin barrier, leaving it open to daily aggressors and too weak to retain moisture and absorb nutrients it needs for daily skincare. This starts a vicious cycle and kickstarts ageing.
Therefore, the next best thing for your skin is to choose the right skin care solution and prevention is eventually better than cure. Start preventing future skin problems than to treat skincare problems when they occur.
