DIY - Nail Care

There are many DIY ways of taking care of your nails.

1st Method

Soak your nails in a warm bowl of water for around 5 minutes before trimming your nails.
After that, use a cuticles stick (which can be found in any nail clippers set) to slowly go rounds the edges outside your nails.
You will notice a layer of white "dust" coming out.
Buff and trim you nail after that.
Apply a layer of nail care lotion after trimming your nails, these give extra protection to your nails.

2nd Method

Before going to bed every night, apply a layer of nail care lotion on every single surface of your nails. This allows the moisture and vitamins from the nail care lotion to work on your nails for at least 5hours without any disturbance such as interaction with water.
It will result in a shiny surface and healthy looking nails.

There are also many ways of nail care lotion options, if you do not have one lotion that is specifically for nails. You can also use body lotion on your hands and nails as well.

3rd Method

If you want to brighten up and lighten your nails color, if you find your nails bit dull and yellowish, try using the following method.

Dip your nails into a warm 1/4 cup of olive oil for 5 to 10 minutes. After that, proceed to massage each nail indivdually and massage your hands using the remaining oil. Gently push back the cuticles with an orangewood stick and shape the nails using an emery board. Blot away any excess oil. Freshly squeezed 1/4 cup of lemon juice and rub the nails with it to whiten the nails.
